Apprentice Welder/Fabricator
Full Time Hours. Permanent position.
£ 5.00 p.h.

An Apprentice Welder/Fabricator is required for our busy conveyor division based in Sittingbourne, Kent. Our core products are heavily focused on food industry related conveyor systems where hygienic material such as stainless steel is extensively used.

The successful applicant will enjoy ‘on the job’ training in the production of components linked to our product range varying from flat sheet stock selection to assembly of the final product using some of the following common processes; Guillotine, Hole/Slot Punching, Notching, Folding and finally TIG Welded together in line with our general assembly drawings. This is the typical route for the manufacture of a standard conveyor. The successful applicant will also be required to attend a day release course at a college of our choice as part of their Apprenticeship.

Applicants must be qualified to a minimum of Grade C in Maths and show a keen interest in Engineering. Any evidence of practical skills gained either through school projects or hobbies would be beneficial.

Hours of work: Monday – Thursday 7.30 am – 4.15 pm, Friday 7.30 am – 2.45 pm. 40 hours per week (one day will be spent at college)
