Marlowe Theatre

The Marlowe is one of this country's most successful regional theatres. Since opening in 2011, the theatre has welcomed over one million customers to performances including Glyndebourne Opera, Matthew Bourne's New Adventures, War Horse and many major West End productions. The annual pantomime is seen by over 90,000 each year.


The Marlowe Kit is the new home to our Learning and Participation programme. It also offers a beautiful and intimate setting for live music, spoken word and children’s theatre and will shortly launch the exciting new immersive exhibition ‘ Kent’s Remarkable Writers: The Worlds Of Christopher Marlowe, Aphra Behn And Joseph Conrad’


We are looking for two individuals to work alongside our full time Operations Assistant at The Marlowe Kit, ensuring a welcoming environment for customers, staff, participants and visiting companies.


As part of our Facilities Team, you will help to ensure the delivery of the upkeep and appearance of the Marlowe Kit to it's highest possible standard, be part of a team providing facilities support for our exciting exhibition, performance and participation programme and you will help to maintain a day to day custodian presence for the historic buildings and its collection.


With the help of our fantastic team of staff, we have developed excellent standards in all areas of the theatre's operation. We aim for all staff to work flexibly, and at all times cooperatively with each other across our various departments. We encourage staff to do this through training which helps them to develop into the knowledgeable, flexible and courteous workforce that our customers have come to expect.
