Housing Response Officer (part-time, 20 hours pw) £18k-£21k

Main duties - what does a Housing Response Officer do?

The Housing Response Officer role is an opportunity to get out and about across the housing estates that we manage in Thanet. Your purpose is to keep the estates clean and tidy, to monitor conditions of housing areas and to ensure they are maintained to a high standard.

Your workload will be varied and no two days are the same. You will come into contact with lots of different people, from your wider team to residents, and liaise with and assist emergency services and other agencies involved in estate matters. Your main duties include the inspection of communal areas, litter picking, cleaning in communal entrances, reporting repairs, rotation of refuse bins and clearing of spillages in communal areas.

Essential requirements - who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who can take initiative, act with confidence, work under their own direction and who wants to make a difference to local communities. This role is for you if you can:
- work to relevant Health and Safety legislation
- use technology to achieve work objectives
- write clearly, succinctly and accurately
- keep to schedules
- establish good relationships with customers and staff
- communicate with basic literacy - no formal qualifications are required.
