Salary £19,645-£24,011
Contract Twelve Month Fixed-Term

Pathways to Independence is a registered charity providing supported housing services to homeless single adults, including ex-offenders, across Kent and Medway.

This is an exciting opportunity to help establish and run a Safe Space to Stay Hub in the Ramsgate area, to form a key part of the Thanet RISE initiative. We are recruiting a team of energetic, empathetic and flexible professionals who will work within a supported housing environment, to assess vulnerable, homeless people and provide support via a co-produced support and move on plan.

Working hours will be a shift pattern of days, evenings and weekends (between 8am to 8pm). The contract is Fixed-Term for twelve months, in line with current funding. We would hope to extend if further funding secured.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in an accommodation based support service for vulnerable people and knowledge of the traumas associated with homelessness. The candidate will be committed to developing this service within PIE principles and with a trauma informed approach.

The candidate will need to be able to manage their own time and competing priorities effectively. Good IT skills, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills with people at all levels are essential.

A full UK Driving Licence along with the daily use of a car is highly desirable (subject to the provisions of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995).

An Enhanced DBS disclosure will be required. However, a criminal conviction will not prejudice your application but will be risk assessed for the role.

Pathways is committed to eliminating discrimination and to working with people from diverse backgrounds.
