Salary: £8.68 per hour

To work within the Tourism and Visitor Information Service, through the delivery of an effective and efficient high quality customer service for visitors to the area, residents and businesses. Through online, face to face and telephone contact achieving business plans targets.
Duties can include:
Answering a wide range of enquiries.
Providing suggestions for places to visit and explore.
Ensuring that the Visitor Information Centre is well presented and stocked at all times.
Making bookings for agencies and processing sales on an epos till system
Be welcoming, polite and friendly and ensure everyone has an excellent experience.
No day is ever the same in this job role and the successful candidate will have a positive attitude, be flexible and a team player.
The service operates 7 days a week during peak season. This is a seasonal role and shifts will predominantly be weekend and Bank Holiday working.

Visitor Services Assistant - Seasonal
Salary: £9.33 per hour
Contract Type: Casual
Job category/type: Tourism
To work within the Tourism and Visitor Information Service to deliver an effective and efficient high quality customer service for visitors to the area, residents and businesses. Through online, face to face and telephone contact, achieving business plan targets and ensuring the highest possible standard of service delivery.
The successful candidate will have:
Excellent Customer Service Skills
Knowledge of the tourism product on the Isle of Thanet and Kent area
Strong IT skills
Retail skills and understand up-selling
Banking & cash handling skills
Good communication skills
Good interpersonal skills
A team player
Have a capacity to learn
This post requires you to have a full driving licence and own transport or requires travelling to sites in a timely manner equivalent to motor travel in your own car.
The service operates 7 days a week during peak season. This is a seasonal role and shifts will be across a 7 day a week rota especially weekends and Bank Holidays.
