Salary: £21,006 - £23,903 Full time salary. Term time only (pro rata)

Hours: Full time - 37 hours per week
Working mainly evenings, weekends and nights on a roster
Term time only - 38 weeks including half terms

Locations: Hadlow College

We are looking for a self-motivated and committed person to participate effectively as a member of the Student Support Services Team in order to ensure safeguarding and student welfare are prioritised. The role will involve supporting students in a range of personal, social skills and enrichment activities in support of their progression.

The post holder will demonstrate and maintain a high standard of health and safety vigilance within and around the College residential accommodation areas. They should be able to communicate effectively between the Student Support Services Team, curriculum staff, students, parents, external agencies and emergency services. They should set an example in terms of conduct and behaviour, whilst helping students contribute to college and community life, to enjoy and achieve whilst at college and gain transferable employability skills.

The role will involve working a shift pattern as agreed with the Lead Residential Support Officer to ensure that staff numbers are sufficient for the students’ needs and activities involved, the role will also include patrolling the campus in all elements.

The successful applicant for this role must have excellent organisation and communication skills, a practical approach to routine tasks and be willing to work flexible hours. It is essential that they have a minimum of Level 2 Maths and English. Competent IT skills, ability to organise own workload and a clean current driving licence.
