Shepherd Neame is Britain’s oldest Brewery based in Faversham, Kent. As an independent family business we own and operate over 321 pubs and produce a wide range of ales and lagers, including Spitfire Ale, Whitstable Bay and Bishops Finger. A permanent opportunity has arisen for a Packaging Operative based in our Packaging Team.

Role & Responsibilities

•Preparation and set up of plant and equipment within but not limited to, the cask and keg areas as well as other packaging line formats as and when required.
•Operation of cask and keg handling, washing, and filling equipment to achieve production plans.
•First level maintenance practices (Autonomous Maintenance (ATM)).
•Alignment with World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methodologies and practices.
•Maintenance of required standards of quality, hygiene, housekeeping, and safety.
•Loading and un-loading delivery vehicles.

What are we looking for?

•The ability to work to plans and schedules to ensure that production levels are met.
•A passion to maintain the highest beer quality and housekeeping standards.
•An enthusiastic approach and a keen eye for detail.
•The ability to follow standard operating procedures to ensure that quality and safety standards are maintained.
•The ability to drive a Fork Lift Truck would be an advantage.

Prior FMCG experience as well as knowledge of WCM and ATM would be an advantage.
