Are you a competent administrator passionate about delivering excellent customer service? If you are organised and methodical, with excellent communication skills this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

The School of Sports and Exercise Sciences are seeking to recruit a Student Administration Assistant. You will provide a full range of administrative support as part of a small administrative team supporting students and staff within the School.

As a Student Administration you will:

Coordinate the School attendance monitoring and Academic Diligence system to support student engagement
Act as primary contact for student queries in the school to provide a professional and efficient service.
Provide general administration to the school.
To succeed in this role you will have

GCSE English and maths at Grade C or above or equivalent qualification
Experience in working in the Higher Education sector or in a similar area
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, Excel) and database systems (such as the Student Database SDS or Cressida)
Excellent oral and written communication skills, giving the post-holder the ability to deal confidently with a range of people at all levels.
The School of Sport and Exercise Sciences is a leading department for the study of sport that is friendly, dynamic and innovative. Based on the University of Kent’s awardwinning Medway Campus we are an ambitious academic department set up in 2001. Our aim is to establish the University of Kent as a premier institution for Sport and Exercise in teaching and research.

The School of Sport and Exercise Sciences delivers the University’s undergraduate and postgraduate courses in sport-related subjects. Our undergraduate programmes consist of three BSc (Hons) programmes, Sport Therapy, Sports Science, and Sport and Exercise for Health; and a BA (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Management. At taught postgraduate level we currently offer an MSc in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation, and in the Science of Optimal Performance. The School’s postgraduate research programme has developed rapidly with approximately 30 part and full time researchers.
