Based in the Sevenoaks/West Kent area and working for a Not for Profit organization. This is a 5-month Contract suited to an immediately available part-qualified or experienced hands-on Management Accountant to assist a Qualified Finance Business Partner with their monthly reporting and year-end preparation. The role is hybrid with a requirement to attend the office 3 days a week and with 2 days working from home.


Duties and responsibilities are as follows


Assume financial management responsibility, in support of the Finance Business Partner, for specific cost centre services.
Assist the Finance Business Partner in the financial management of the remaining cost centres and services.
Ensure the production of timely, high-quality management accounts, insightful commentary and any other information as may be required.
Review the financial performance and risks and opportunities on a monthly basis for review by the Head of Commercial Finance.
Design and deliver analysis, using advanced Excel skills and MI system knowledge, to drive improved understanding of profitability and provide relevant and pragmatic insight and analysis to improve strategic and operational decision making
Demonstrate a clear and in-depth understanding of the key contracts, financial performance, and risks and opportunities, within each area, ensuring that the financial performance of the business is optimised.
Manage accounting procedures, ensuring timely processing of information and production of management accounts and commentaries on the financial situation in the relevant Hub services to corporate timetables.
Assist in managing the accounting procedures, timely processing of information, and production of management accounts and commentaries on the financial situation in the remaining Hub services to corporate timetables.
Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, latest forecasts, and commentaries for the corporate timetables.
Advise the Hub management team and Service Directors on the financial management of their activities, and provide coaching as appropriate.
