We are seeking to recruit an experienced senior leader and/or adviser to join our innovative team within primary school improvement. This is an exciting opportunity to work for Kent’s new education services company, ‘The Education People’, sharing our vision for Kent to be at the forefront of education and learning.

As an Improvement Adviser, you will be working with a team of highly motivated and professional individuals, committed to ongoing improvement through working collaboratively with headteachers and their staff both within Kent and at times other authorities. Most of your work will be specifically across North and West Kent.

You will have senior leadership experience and a deep understanding of primary improvement strategies. In addition, you will have a broad understanding of the wider curriculum and assessment frameworks. You will have a proven track record of leading improvements within your current educational role and of supporting a number of schools.

A secure understanding of the Education inspection framework is essential.

In addition to supporting schools as their named Improvement Adviser, you will have the skills and desire to design and deliver training and/or resources to support the development and improvement of schools as required. The role may include working across wider Kent and further local authorities and schools on occasion when this is commissioned.
This contract is for at least 22.5 hours per week, however the right person can be taken on for up to 37 hours per week if desired.
