The is a new role within RBLI for a full time, 6 month fixed term contract based in Aylesford, Kent


Main Purpose of the Job:
BBMC is investing in its future by launching new products through the introduction of new machinery which will improve its production cost base and enhance the physical infrastructure.

It has set itself an ambitious 6 month target to complete the works and be in full production. All this whilst maintaining the current factory production facilities.

We require a Project manager with a manufacturing /construction background to manage and deliver 4 key projects within BBMC.

Your Key Responsibilities:
To Oversee 4 Key Areas:
• The installation of 2 x Face Mask Making Machines and management of the transfer of materials from their current storage location to
RBLI storage
• Installation of a new Air Compressor
• Yard Repairs
o Costings
o Schedule of Works
o Ensuring minimum disruption to daily activities
• Installation of another Viking Pallet Making Machine
o Including the relocation of existing machinery and equipment

Ensure the 4 Key Areas have:
• Suitable Power available to run machinery
• Air Supply available to run machinery
• The layout considered to ensure maximum production efficiency
• Old equipment removed and arrange to be sold on or disposed of in an environmentally safe manner

Ensure all Health and Safety Standards are maintained:
• All necessary Risk Assessments are in place regarding the installation and operation of the equipment
• Covid safe measures are in place for both installation and operation

To achieve the above you will be required to work closely with:
• RBLI’s Property Services Team
• External Contractors
• Machinery Suppliers
• RBLI’s Senior Management Team
• RBLI’s Health and Safety Manager

• Self sufficient
• Good telephone manner

Skills & Experience Required:
Essential:
• Proven Project Management experience within a manufacturing/construction environment
• IT literate in Microsoft Office applications

Desirable:
• An engineering background with experience of running/maintaining machines
• Full driving licence
