This is a remote-friendly role with the option to work in the office in the City of London.

An exciting opportunity to join a software company in the insurtech sector, specialising in sophisticated data ingestion and enhancement to facilitate algorithmic underwriting. The platform uses pioneering machine learning and automation techniques to enable clients to write insurance risks faster, improving profits and reducing costs for some of the world's largest insurance companies.

They are currently looking for a Lloyd's and London Market Data Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join the Data Science team. The team is transforming the way insurance submissions are processed, from the traditional document-first method to data-first.

Your role as an SME would be to train data models to recognise MRC slip policies, advise the Data Science team on MRC standards for use in data extraction and processing (including the layout and content of a standard paper form) and inform the usage of data in downstream processes.

Working with the Data Science team, you would have an excellent working knowledge of Lloyd's and processing Market Reform Contracts (MRCs) within the London Market.

Your key responsibilities would include but are not limited to:

* Supporting the quality assurance process of our MRC extraction model
* Data entry and proactively managing any issues that may arise
* Fully engaging and communicating with the wider team ensuring a knowledge sharing ethos
* Supporting the wider team by proactively assisting with priority work
* Encouraging feedback from business areas regularly interacted with and, where applicable, action/learn and share with the wider team
* Ensuring projects are completed in a timely manner with deadlines

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

- Keen attention to detail

- Highly competent data entry skills

- Ability to self-motivate and manage to deadlines

- Personal skills with the ability to engage team and stakeholders

- Able to prioritise work in a changing environment

- Competence with MRC documentation

- High standard of communications in all forms

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team

- Knowledge of the insurance industry and the London Market
