An opportunity to join a global, independent Lloyds broking house based in the heart of the City of London with branches throughout the world.
Role summary
To assist the Risk & Compliance Team in all areas of general compliance, with specific focus on the on-boarding and ongoing monitoring of counterparty relationships and the management of the Agreement review process.
Accountabilities
*Objectively review on-boarding and monitoring due diligence applications for Third Party Producers. Investigate and analyse company information in order to present a detailed report for Senior Manager review.
*Review on-boarding due diligence for new Security and maintenance of the Security List.
*Review on-boarding due diligence for new direct client relationships.
*Manage the Insurer Terms of Business Agreement and bespoke counter-party agreements review process.
*Management and maintenance of the Compliance internal and business facing Registers.
*Assist with updating Compliance Policies and Procedures in line with regulatory and legislative requirements.
*Producing MI and other data reports from internal systems, review and structure data in a way that is presentable for reports to business committees.
*Assist the 1LOD with the compliance policies, procedures and processes. Including presenting the new joiner compliance induction and procedure training.
*Monitoring that technical standards are maintained to achieve quality, minimise rework / E & O exposure.
*Handle 1LOD day-to-day compliance queries, including but not limited to: sanctions; overseas licensing; KYC requests; GDPR; complaints; conflicts; placement and claims.
*Recording complaints, conflicts of interest, breaches, gifts & hospitality declaration on the appropriate Registers.
*Take meeting minutes in the absence of the Compliance Assistant.
*Take responsibility for own learning and development. Keep up-to-date with market best practice, regulatory and legal developments.
*Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
Desirable Experience:
*Experience working within Compliance in the insurance market (London insurance market preferably)
*Experience of independently reviewing and negotiating Insurer Terms of Business Agreements and other counter-party Agreements.
*Experience of reviewing and investigating KYC / due diligence of third parties.
*Knowledge of sanctions regimes and ability to review sanction queries.
