This is an exciting opportunity to join the Division of Natural Science in the role of Assistant Technician (Sports) and to be part of the technical services team, delivering outstanding student experience and research excellence.

The role of Assistant Technician (Sports) is essential to the successful day-to-day operation of the teaching and research activities taking place within the division. As Assistant Technician you will provide a comprehensive, responsive and specialised support service to staff and students within the Division. You will be specifically working with and setting up sporting, sports therapy/rehabilitation or scientific equipment such as treadmills, therapy couches and agility equipment (ladders, hurdles, light gates, jump mats).

You will use your knowledge, skills and experience to solve problems independently, ensuring the effective day to day operation of facilities and resources - providing excellent customer service at all times. You will be working within a busy technical support team responding to wide range of enquiries so planning and prioritising work will be essential in this role.

As Assistant Technician (Sports) you will:

Support and assist with the setup of sporting, sports therapy/rehabilitation or scientific equipment
Communicate in a timely and effective manner to ensure the professional delivery of technical support
Be customer focused, ensuring the very best student and staff experience
Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately
To be successful in the role you will have/be:

Practical experience of a sporting, sports science, sports therapy/rehabilitation or laboratory environment
Good understanding of sports science disciplines
Good attention to detail and ability to work accurately
The ability to forward plan and effectively prioritise workloads
Interviews to be held: week commencing 24 January 2022.
