An outstanding opportunity for an experienced Procurement Manager with a leading global manufacturing organisation within the area.

The role is placed within their Europe Manufacturing Operations Department and has become available due to the current incumbent leaving after long service within the business.

Hours of Work & Benefits & Culture:

The experience we are seeking in an individual:

In order to meet the requirements of the Procurement Manager position, you will have previous supply chain/procurement experience at a similar level and ideally within a relevant industry, ie. Pharmaceutical, Medical Device or fine chemicals.

The Procurement Manager will :
Require demonstrated experience in supplier improvement framework and management, with achievements of significant performance improvements/cost savings.
Must have experience of buying direct materials within a high volume manufacturing environment and understand Supply Chain, ERP/MRP Systems.
Accountability for Sustainability and Responsible & Ethical sourcing, in line with company Global policies.
Commitment to the development and implementation of the qualify management system and maintaining effectiveness by communication to the organisation the importance of meeting statutory and regulatory requirements as well as those of the customer.
Conduct routine market monitoring and business continuity assessment of supplier and supply chains, develop strategies for the procurement of specialist materials and introduce suitable practices to ensure appropriate sources are identified and continuity of supply is established.
Own the vendor management process for selecting and developing vendors, assess capability and suitability by audit and other means.
