This is your chance to join Kent and Medway Medical School (KMMS) in pioneering a new era of responsive, student-centred medical education. We are seeking inspirational educators and role models. You will contribute to teaching and lead the design, delivery and quality assurance of the clinical placements across year three of the school’s undergraduate medicine programme. We are seeking applications for individuals with expertise in Medicine, Surgery, Elderly Medicine and Psychiatry to lead year three modules in these areas.

KMMS has been created to be a beacon for first-class medical education and research. KMMS opened to its first cohort of 108 pioneer students in September 2020 and brings together the existing centres of excellence in health and medical education provided by the University of Kent and Canterbury Christ Church University and local healthcare organisations, to offer a new model of person-centred medical education.

This role will involve working on the campus sites of both the partner universities in Canterbury and Medway and extensive liaison work with all our clinical placement providers based across Kent and Medway. You will make a major contribution to the development of the KMMS undergraduate medical programme, introducing teaching innovation to the development and delivery of undergraduate medical education, undertaking leadership roles within the School and delivering high quality teaching to the next generation of medical professionals.

We expect you to be suitably qualified with a specific interest and background in undergraduate medical, health sciences or healthcare education. To make your mark in this important role, you must have a healthy attitude to change and new challenges, plus a co-operative approach that matches our own.

As Senior Lecturer in Medical Education you will:
