TECHNICAL MANAGER
LLOYDS BROKER CITY OF LONDON WITH HYBRID WORKING 2/3 days per week
SALARY £50,000-£70,000 negotiable
Successful candidate will be a solid Broker support technican with or without staff management experience. WOULD SUIT INDIVUDUAL READY TO MAKE NEXT CAREER MOVE INTO MANAGEMENT.
FINANCIAL/PROEFESSIONAL RISKS EXPERIENCE IS ESSENTIAL WITH EXPOSURE TO e+o, d+o PREFERRED.
Principal duties and responsibilities
Managing Resources
* Managing the Technical staff
* Managing own workload and time under the guidance of Head of Division to ensure that deadlines are met
* Coaching and mentoring less experienced staff across the division
* Responsible for day-to-day management including performance management of technical staff
* Delegating and supervising work to ensure consistency of quality and service
* Seeking out and utilising knowledge and expertise, within own division
* Undertaking ongoing communication with technical and broking colleagues, accounts and other Divisions to ensure timely and accurate production of documentation and maintenance of systems and records
* Sharing of knowledge and expertise, within own division and across the Group
Relationship Management
* Continuing to develop and maintain relationships with peers, senior management and colleagues both within Division and across Group
* Managing relationships with underwriters, clients and industry peers
* Participating in regular team discussions/updates
Business Operations
* Producing documentation including cover notes, debit notes, letters and correspondence
* Setting up files ensuring all relevant documentation included
* Assisting with the maintenance of filing and archiving systems
* Entering data onto Global system
* Issuing authorised quotes, cover notes and debit notes
* Checking and signing of certificates, slips and cover notes
* Chasing and monitoring premiums under terms of trade
* Obtaining wording signings
* Making payments to bureau under terms of trade and reconciling payments
* Dealing with queries from Brokers and clients and escalating issues to Head of Division
* Chasing clients for outstanding funds
* Producing policy wordings, slips and endorsements
* Producing statistics for Head of Division as requested
* Assisting with the management of treaties, binding authorities and facilities
* Compiling and monitoring premium warranties
* Reviewing and revising manuscript wordings
* Sourcing, researching and producing appropriate policy wordings
* Obtaining underwriter agreement to wordings
* Understanding FCA Guidelines and rules
* Undertaking general office administrative duties as and when required
