Our client is looking for a Lloyds/Company market claims specialist who is seeking an opportunity to develop their career in an environment where they can progress towards management.



This role will suit someone who has performed sub-management functions for more junior team members; such as allocating work, providing technical support for more complex claims, checking work, involvement with projects and creating/analysing reports.



Working closely with the Head of Department you will provide general oversight for all activity within the claims area as well as take responsibility for a designated portfolio of key client accounts. You will have responsibility for ensuring that claims are valid and fall within policy coverage, make sure all supporting documentation and information is available, ensure claims advices and settlements are processed and insurers are notified of all movements.



You will act as a client advocate to negotiate with adjusters/experts and provide support and advise to clients throughout the whole claims process.



This role will suit someone with experience of international marine claims and/or financial lines/ professional risks / casualty claims, ideally across direct and reinsurance contracts from a broker, syndicate or coverholder background.



* Knowledge of the procedures and processes for claims handling in the Lloyds/Company and overseas markets is essential.
* Experience using ECF and LORS together with solid ms excel skills
* Experience using ECLIPSE and/or Imagewrite would be useful
* A desire for career progression.
* Strong communications skills
* Versatile and able to adapt quickly
* Client service delivery focus
