The Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic candidate who will play an influential role in leading the IT and Data teams who offer support to over 350 staff and 1000’s of clients based across the UK. This will be a critical role in delivering Migrant Help’s ongoing digital vision and strategy with an emphasis on Data Integrity, IT Security, and technological innovation.

Working closely with the Head of IT & Data and the charity’s Operational teams, you will continually seek ways and opportunities to improve the technical and data related services provided to our staff
and clients.

​You will play a key role in the management, monitoring and maintenance of all elements of IT and Data and be heavily involved in on‐going technical projects and supporting the organisations contractual and ISO standards.



Duties and Responsibilities:

Deputise for the Head Of IT & Data and when required help to manage the IT Staff and in‐house Data team staff.
Support the management of the external IT support contract(s) and act as Key Point of contact for commissioners, subcontractors and partners. Manage internal and external relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. Work with consultants as appropriate, to develop new IT systems and tools in line with business requirements. Ensure all IT systems are compatible with contract specifications.
Support and assist in preparation of bids and tenders, as required. Project Manage IT and data new initiatives alongside MH service delivery team. To make recommendations to Senior management for IT systems and processes. Support and manage all IT related projects and upgrades.
To improve IT governance though the Quality Management Systems group and Continuous Improvement group to inform all software initiatives to ensure they comply with the wider strategies. Support on ISO27001 and participate in the Information Governance Group.
Provide excellent customer support to internal customers and partners.
Support on the IT Technical aspects of our CMS, IT and telecoms systems.
Along with the Facilities Team, support on Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning.
Aim for 'value for money' across the organisation objectives.
Manage all IT assets including purchase and disposal of equipment.
Willingness to travel to office locations across the UK in support of IT service and projects
