Do you have a passion for food? We are looking for an experienced Chef to work alongside our Senior Chef to produce food to the criteria determined by the Head of Training or their nominee.

You will maintain our high standard of service delivery and be willing and flexible to work in other outlets across the campus, ensuring our high standards are maintained.

In return we offer a 35 hour working week on a Monday to Sunday rota, regular overtime during busy periods up to 48 hours per week and 43 days paid leave including paid time off whilst the campus is closed over Christmas and the New Year, a rarity in catering!

You will strive to provide a high-quality catering service to University staff, students and visitors, assisting with the daily preparation of the standard menus, daily specials and recipes, maintaining the required standard of foods.

You will observe and be compliant with all aspects of health, safety and hygiene standards and adhere to the relevant legislation and the University’s code of practice.

As Chef you will need:

Experience of preparing standard menus, recipes and food in a commercial environment.

Experience of ordering and controlling stock, and managing stores.

Food Hygiene Certificate

Excellent customer service skills
