Fully office based

Monday - Friday 40 hours per week



An exciting new opening for an experienced HR Manager has arisen for our well-established manufacturing client based on the outskirts of Sevenoaks/Orpington border. This is a standalone role with the chance to make a real impact to the business. We are looking for someone to be based on site who can create and implement the HR strategy for this growing business.

The successful HR Manager will have previously worked in a similar industrial/manufacturing, site-based company and have set up an HR function before, or at least having worked in a standalone role.



Duties include:

* Managing all aspects of the operational HR needs of this busy company
* Assisting Managers with recruitment, understanding their needs, and able to collate and maintain the recruitment function
* Dealing with Onboarding new staff, obtaining all relevant payroll and HR needs for the welcome packs
* Managing staff absence, sickness, return to work by carrying out interviews and appraisals
* Collating information and statistics for probation, sickness, and recruitment needs
* Assist FC with collation of monthly payroll information, and assist with review in line with any changes
* Keep up to date with relevant employment law changes, and regulations
* Writing and implementation of the company handbook, reviewing and updating HR Policies and procedures
* Work with SMT and present at regular meetings
* Supporting and advising senior management and managers on disciplinary, grievance and restructuring processes
* The arrangement and attendance of meetings up to and including dismissal and appeals
* To monitor and advise managers on attendance management and case management of long-term sickness absence
* To advise on performance improvement issues



To be considered you will have/be:

* Previous experience within a generalist HR management role within an industrial environment withing a standalone environment
* Experience setting up HR policies and procedures and creating HR strategies
* Ideally educated to degree level within a business-related subject
* Ideally CIPD Level 5 qualified, however would look at candidates with solid HR experience
* An excellent working knowledge of employment law
* Excellent communication skills both written and face to face and the ability to communicate with people at all levels within the organisation
* The ability to work on own initiative and a self-starter
* Commercial acumen with Influence and persuasion skills
* The ability to work to targets and deadlines
* The ability to build relationships with people across the business
