My client a well-established manufacturer and installer of automated gates, access control, CCTV and other security systems is seeking a highly skilled, experienced multi-skilled field-based engineer to join their team of field engineers to repair and maintain these assets to an industry leading standard.

You will be working with a professional field and office based team, and will be provided with a quality, fully equipped and stocked van plus laptop, mobile phone and all other equipment and uniform required.

Responsibilities

* Reactive repair and proactive maintenance of automated gates, access control, CCTV and other security systems.
* Investigating faults reported to a very thorough standard.
* Inspecting installs for compliance with safety standards.
* Proactively making recommendations for any other upgrades, you feel are advisable.
* Written and photographic reporting on findings in a coherent and comprehensive manner.
* Communicating with clients professionally.

Experience/Skills

* Compliance with safety standards.
* Installation, upgrade and repair of all types of automated gates.
* Installation, upgrade and repair of a variety of other security systems.
* Integration between systems.
* Networking.
* Welding would be advantageous but not essential.

About you

* Must be a confident communicator.
* Need to have a calm and logical approach to complex problem solving under pressure.
* Ability to be forensic when required to seek out hidden faults to resolve intermittent or involved faults.
* Enthusiastic and tenacious approach to work.
* Belief in the value of attention to detail.

Qualifications

* DHF or Gate safe qualification.
* Electrical qualifications.
* Enhanced DBS certificated verified clear (can be provided).
