Financial Accountant job - 9 month maternity cover - Leading Pharmaceuticals Group - Croydon

Your new company

You will be working for an award-winning family run group of pharmacies. With over 200 in their group, and supplying many more, they are rapidly growing and highly successful. They bring a reputation for reliability, and looking after their employees, with ambitious plans for the future.


Your new role

You will join the business on a 9 month contract, to cover a maternity leave. Your duties will include, but not be limited to, coordinating, analysing and reviewing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, to be presented to the Financial Controller. You will reconcile payroll journals, coordinating closely with a Shared Service Centre team abroad. You will also support the Statutory, Tax and Compliance Accountant with external Advisors on the preparation of Annual Statutory Accounts and Tax Filings.


What you'll need to succeed

You will be qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA, or have gained considerable experience in a similar role. You will be an excellent communicator, and comfortable working to deadlines. The role handles large amounts of data, so comfort manipulating this, especially on Excel, is a must. Experience working in a group of companies, multinationally, is a benefit but not essential.


What you'll get in return

You will receive a salary of £40,000 - £50,000 DOE. You will be entitled to benefits such as 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, staff discounts, and pension contribution. You will also get to work on a hybrid pattern, with 3 days a week in the office in Croydon.
