Tenancy Sustainment Coordinator – Homelessness Support Services
£21500 – 3 year fixed contract.
We are looking for a committed individual with a passion for working with people in need.
You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and have the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
• Liaise with statutory and voluntary organisations to provide an integrated approach to homeless prevention and tenancy sustainment
• Provide advice and guidance to clients on tenancy sustainment, money and budgeting, as well as other relevant topics
• Support clients to access housing opportunities, such as private renting, shared ownership and social housing
• Provide advocacy and resettlement support for clients, in order to ensure successful tenancies and prevent homelessness
• Coordinate the Winter Shelter service, including recruitment, training and support of volunteers and befrienders
• Develop and implement strategies to reduce and prevent homelessness
• Represent our client at external meetings and events
• Liaise with local stakeholders to ensure effective partnerships

The successful candidate will have:
• Experience of working with vulnerable and excluded people, in a housing or related sector
• An understanding of the issues facing those at risk of homelessness
• Experience of working with volunteers
• Good problem solving skills
• A commitment to working within a person centred framework
• A flexible approach to working hours
• Experience of working with vulnerable people and a commitment to providing person-centered services
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
• An understanding of the issues facing rough sleepers and vulnerably housed people
• Willingness to work outside normal office hours
