We are looking for someone with proven experience in business development who can promote and pitch Imago’s vision and services to existing and potential funders, commissioners and other stakeholders. As a thriving charity, we have achieved significant growth over the last 5+ years, extending our range of services and adapting to meet identified needs. We are now embarking on the next stage.

As Business Development Manager, you will research and follow leads to identify and secure new business opportunities in line with Imago’s long-term strategic goals. You’ll attend conferences, forums and networking events to build relationships with Health and Social Care partners and others. It’s essential that you can actively engage with all levels of stakeholder and develop long-lasting sustainable relationships built on trust and respect.

Candidates should have at least 5 years’ experience of working with businesses or organisations, and be passionate about working in the voluntary sector. You should have proven experience of generating new business, from prospect identification to securing new deals and partnerships.

The role requires you to be creative, proactive, self-motivated and resilient. You should be able to demonstrate engaging and succinct writing, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The postholder must be prepared to travel across the South East to attend meetings and events, and meet with colleagues and contacts. You will be expected to regularly visit our head office in Tunbridge Wells and other area offices, so a car driver is essential. This is fixed-term post for 1 year.
