Minor Works Manager Wanted For Surrey Local Authority

Over the last few years, the council have worked alongside its partners to support the residents through the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, while continuing to deliver against future objectives. This includes investing in new housing, retail and leisure facilities across the borough.

Your new role

This role will involve the management of both Facilities Management and Capital Work contracts ensuring the successful delivery of remedial and refurbishment / improvement projects. You will provide project management to support the core business of the councils property portfolio, which includes the Town Hall, Maintenance Depots, Community Centres, Leisure & Recreational Premises and Public Conveniences.

What you'll need to succeed

You will undertake a full range of building facilities project management from inception through to practical completion ensuring that projects are delivered in the most effective way and generally follow best practice. You will directly manage contractors and consultants in the delivery of contracts and assist the Principal Estates Manager in the renewal and procurement of Contracts which will include the preparation of all necessary Contract Documentation.
