To join a leading global insurer on an initial 12 month fixed term contract. As a member of a small technical support team, the role holder will provide reliable, accurate and efficient administrative support to the Global Property & Casualty underwriters and ensure the integrity of information held on the in-house data management system.



Underwriting Technical Assistant - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract



Summary of Duties:

* Entering of renewals, endorsements and new business information.
* Monitor and ensure that all risks data entered is correctly signed off by the Underwriter and all checklists are completed.
* Handling some aspects of administration of business generated by offices worldwide.
* Recording, monitoring and reporting of premiums.
* Ensuring that all Tax allocations presented with slips are accurate.
* Investigating differences between Estimated and Booked premiums.
* Identifying and reporting data anomalies.
* Scanning and indexing of paper records and contractual documents.
* Reviewing slips and contract documents for correctness.
* Entering of reinsurance protections onto system.



Skills Required:

* Previous experience within a (re)insurance environment
* Experience checking, processing and inputting underwriting information
* Confident MS Excel user
* Experience working in the Lloyds / London market is desirable
* Some knowledge of premium taxes and Terrorism Returns is desirable
* Strong attention to detail
* Good time management and organisational skills
