A new instruction for a Project Manager with a global manufacturing organisation and established client in the area.

The role reports to the European Head of Project Management Office and is placed within the R & D Project Management Office. Therefore, in order to meet the demands of this role, we are looking for 1 formal qualification in project management, ie. Agile, Prince 2, APM etc and in terms of sector experience, fast moving consumer goods environment is required, ideally with some knowledge of regulatory considered an advantage.

Position Highlights:
You will have overall responsibility for driving the project on time, in full and on cost delivery with overall project leadership for a portfolio of projects across several brands, working to Stage Gate Process.
Th role involves the professional project management of new product launches and product changes for a portfolio of projects.
You will lead cross functional project teams, with responsibility for overseeing multiple projects from initial feasibility, through to launch implementation.
The role will also include the management of R & D and Supply Chain projects across their European organisation.

Management Responsibilities:
Direct management over a small team of Junior Project Managers, with responsibility for ongoing mentoring and development of the PM’s when required.
Operational task management of the project teams that you manage.

Skills & Knowledge, we are seeking in an individual:
Proven experience in managing/leading innovation and development projects in order to achieve successful project outcomes.
The ability to manage complex cross functional projects with experience at managing and mitigating risk.
Good general IT skills including a minimum of 1 project management qualification (Agile, Prince2, APM etc)
Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
Effective communicator at all levels with good presentation skills and the ability to conduct effective meetings and presentations within large teams.
Solid organisational skills.
A bias for action with a professional and positive approach.

Driving licence required
Minimal overseas travel ie, twice in first year and once a year thereafter
