Benenden School are looking to recruit friendly and reliable people to join our Domestic Department. No experience is required as you will be given full training, however you must be efficient and organised.

Housekeeper

Main duties are the general cleaning of all areas of the Boarding Houses and around the School, using established cleaning techniques to ensure a clean and tidy environment always.

Applicants should have the ability to work well as part of a team and on their own initiative, as well as having a great sense humour.

Hours:

Monday to Friday 9:00am to 3:00pm All Year

Saturday 8:00am to 4:00pm Term Time Only

Benenden has been one of the leading boarding schools in Britain for more than 90 years. We were founded in 1923 and are situated in 250 acres of attractive parkland in Kent. There are 550 girls in the school, aged 11-18, with approximately 190 of those in the Sixth Form.

Benenden is at the forefront of girls’ education in the UK, with recent innovations including the Benenden Diploma, a bespoke curriculum for our youngest two-year groups, and the Professional Skills Programme, teaching the Sixth Form skills for the workplace. We are an ambitious school, with recent developments including a state-of-the-art Science Centre and All-Weather Sports Pitch, and our new world-class Centenary Hall and Music School opened in June 2022.

Staff are provided with meals whilst on duty, catering for all tastes and dietary requirements. The School’s leisure facilities, including wonderful grounds, a fitness gym and swimming pool are also available for staff to use.
