£28,000 - £32,300 DOE

Our client is looking for an experienced HR Officer to work within an educational setting on a temporary basis located in Sittingbourne with the potential of a permanent placement. Our client is looking for an immediate starter for this position.
The HR Officer will provide support to all staff on any HR matters, adhere to all policies and procedures in place, maintain GDPR and always deliver a high standard of work!
Duties for this role include:
• Overseeing recruitment and selection processes, including drafting job descriptions, screening CV’s, conducting interviews, and onboarding new employees.
• Managing employee records and ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with best practices and legislative requirements.
• Providing guidance and support to staff regarding HR-related matters, including performance management, employee relations, and conflict resolution.
• Managing the administration of employee benefits, leaves of absence, and other HR programs.
• Collaborating with the leadership team to develop strategies for staff retention, professional development, and creating a positive work environment.
• Keeping abreast of changes in employment legislation and HR best practices to ensure compliance and recommend improvements.
The successful candidate will have/ be:
• An in date Enhanced DBS (Due to the environment of the role)
• A clear understanding and working knowledge of Child Safeguarding and GDPR
• CIPD qualified (Desirable but not essential)
• Educated to NVQ Level or equivalent
• Previous experience working within a HR role
• A strong and confident communicator
• Able to work well independently as well as amongst a team
• Organised and methodical in approach
• Able to deal with issues of a sensitive nature
• Computer literate with excellent knowledge of MS Software including, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Able to use own initiative and adhere to tight deadlines
• Able to stay calm when working under pressure and within a fast-paced environment
