GVG Contracting Ltd currently recruiting for an experienced workshop mechanic to join our Garage Workshop, based in our Godstone Depot. Working within our busy and friendly team, you will have the opportunity to work with a range of HGV, LGV and LCV maintaining the fleet for daily use, inspection and larger planned works.

We are a growing company, who carry out a wide range of highway maintenance across Surrey, East and West Sussex. Our crews install / repair; highway signage, footway and carriageway, replace ironworks and more. Each crew relying on their vehicle, our garage workshop are at the centre of all we are able to do.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair, your duties will include;

• Six weekly vehicle inspection (preparation)
• General servicing and pre planned maintenance
• Reactive maintenance as required
• MOT preparation/presentation
• Correction of running defects
• Ensure all vehicle defects are reported to Transport Supervisor
• Use of Jaltest defect detection or similar


UK Driving licence essential, Commercial Driving Licence (would be beneficial)

Terms
Working Day 0700-1600 Mon-Fri, overtime available
Must have own hand tools
Some mobile working maybe required
20 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
Full time, permenant position

Salary: £35,000 - £37,000 per year
