You will be joining a specialist healthcare provider as a Purchase Ledger Assistant. Your new role

As a Purchase Ledger Assistant, you will be an integral part of the finance department, ensuring the accurate processing of purchase invoices and maintaining meticulous records. Your responsibilities will include: Processing purchase invoices and credit notes, meticulously matching them to purchase orders and coding them correctly.

* Reconciling supplier statements and promptly resolving any discrepancies.
* Building and nurturing strong relationships with key suppliers, efficiently addressing their queries.
* Assisting with month-end procedures and providing valuable support to the finance team.
* Collaborating on the preparation of payment runs, ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers.
* Maintaining precise and up-to-date records within the purchase ledger system.
* Assisting with other finance-related tasks on an ad-hoc basis.


What you'll need to succeed

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

* Previous experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk or in a similar role.
* Strong understanding of purchase ledger processes and procedures.
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Outstanding communication abilities, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a proactive and adaptable approach.
* High level of integrity and professionalism, respecting confidentiality at all times.
* Immediate availability for an immediate start is preferred.
