Premier Recruitment Group is working in partnership with a well established and international organisation in Dartford to recruit a Apprentice - Electro-mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting, full-time and permanent role.

We are currently recruiting for a permanent Apprentice - Electro-mechanical Maintenance Engineer role, reporting to the Engineering Manager. This position will be based in Dartford and is available immediately. The first year will be core hours, with one day a week college day release. After the first year the role will be on rotating day shift, with further college day release.

* The minimum age re Health & Safety working with our client's machinery is 18 years.
* You will work on site four days a week and attend North Kent College in Gravesend one day per week.
* The first year will be core hours 9am to 5.30pm.
* After one year you will be expected to work our Rotating Shift pattern and will be given the 17.5% shift allowance.
* You will work towards a Level 2 in Engineering Operative qualification from Sept 23.
* The end goal is for the successful candidate to be trained as a multi-skilled engineer with the view to completing level 3 in an electrical/controls bias once the Level 2 qualification has been completed.

The salary is £16,575 as this is an apprenticeship.

* Initially aiming for a level 2 Engineering Operative apprenticeship qualification focusing more on mechanical training, with the view to the business supporting the right candidate towards level 3 in an electrical/controls bias.
* One day a week day release to college in Gravesend area, with the remainder of time spent in the Engineering department, based on our client's manufacturing site. You will receive training from experienced multiskilled engineers.
* You will get involved in continuous improvement projects, as well as take on your own projects to use your personal development skills.
* This role will see you becoming a key part of the Engineering team in an industry leading business. Working with members of the team as well as stakeholders from other departments, to ensure that the production plant equipment, and other areas of the site are well maintained.
* There is a diversity of areas and equipment that you will gain experience working with, including manufacturing equipment, building services, water systems, automation and controls.
