A long-established Traditional main contractor operating in refurbishment sectors, predominantly high-end seek an experienced surveyor who can also estimate to join the stable and well run team. With a long history of delivering high-end works with a retained list of reputed clients projects are typically on behalf of London's biggest property management groups. Works can vary from 250k - £2million and involve both internal and external refurbishment on private buildings and offices. Client relationships are key and the company pride themselves on their quality of work as well as the service they are able to provide resulting in multiple exclusive relationships. Due to the continued success and an internal move they now seek an experienced Quantity surveyor / estimator to join the extremely stable team.

Your new role
You will have full commercial responsibility of your projects from tender through to handover, allowing you to develop your relationship with the client and ensure you are in full control of the costs from day 1. You will liaise with clients, assist in pricing future schemes (negotiated tender) building up costs with the help of the wider commercial team then moving on to run the schemes commercially once awarded. You will oversee 2 - 4 schemes depending on workload carrying out the usual QS function, you will be involved in procurement, monthly valuations, day to day variations, monthly payments, measure/remeasurement, monthly CVR's and generally managing all commercial aspects, reporting to a commercial director

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a stable surveying background with small to medium contractor, ideally refurbishment orientated and have had some exposure to pricing works whether as an estimator or surveyor. You will be comfortable liaising with clients and be looking for a long term role , A surveying qualification is desirable but not essential.
