Goldhawk Associates are proud to be working in partnership with Crossroads Kent as they look to appoint a new CEO.
Crossroads Kent are the leading carers charity in Kent, dedicated to supporting anyone living with the challenges of unpaid caregiving. They have been established for 40 years, employing over 200 staff and supporting 6000+ people every year through a variety of services and projects.
The CEO will be responsible for the strategic leadership, delivery and development of Crossroads Care Kent services, human resources, statutory, contractual, funding, PR and financial management. Key duties will include:
- Prepare a strategic plan and annual budget for approval by the Board of Trustees
- Operate within budgets and oversee the development and delivery of organisational plans for growth in alignment with the broader strategy
- Lead, manage and develop the senior executive team
- Establish and monitor key indicators of the organisation`s impact and financial health
- Develop and review the organisation`s staffing, numbers, hours and organisational structure
- Ensure the organisation fulfils its legal, statutory and regulatory responsibilities
- Work on winning contracts, aim to achieve an effective income generation programme, including sustainable income from individual, corporate, legacy and trust donations
- Manage and monitor contracts and service level agreements
- Responsibility for the financial leadership including forecasting and strategic budget leadership
- Develop a long term financial strategy, aiming to deliver growth and sustainability
- Undertake and provide statistical reporting to monitor financial stability and performance
- Manage compliance, oversee the process and production of annual audits, HMRC returns
- Responsibility for bank authorisation, payments, staff loans, expenditure, invoice authority
- Review insurances, service contracts and equipment renewals
- Manage premises and rent negotiations
- Work with the HR Manager to ensure that the organisation acts within employment boundaries
- Ensure that the organisation complies with best practice in all areas of operation including Care Services, Health and Safety, Human Resources, Finance, and Project Team
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly regarded charity during an exciting period of their journey. The successful candidate will possess proven experience of strategic leadership and management at a senior level as well as strong financial acumen and the ability to present complex information clearly.
The role is 28 hours a week based in Wateringbury with regular travel to Beltinge as required and the salary is £62,000-£65,000 FTE.
