Are you a dynamic, self-motivated, and results-driven individual with a passion for planning? We are seeking a detail oriented and analytical PMO Planning and Resourcing Analyst to join our dynamic Project Management Office at Charities Aid Foundation (CAF).

What you’ll do
At CAF, every one of us contributes to our impact, and as our PMO Planner you will play an integral part within the IT projects and change function.

This role will report to the IT Portfolio Delivery Manager and will require close collaboration with Project Managers, project stakeholders and our IT team.

You will apply industry leading planning tools and techniques to our short and long term Portfolio and resource plans, acting as an interface between the Project Management and IT Portfolio Teams.

As our PMO Planner you will:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, including identifying and tracking dependencies between projects / streams.
- Work alongside the Portfolio Team to ensure effective oversight of the IT change portfolio, maintaining a 12 month Portfolio Plan including in flight projects, our backlog and new demand.
- Develop strong working relationship with project managers, internal stakeholders and delivery partners to ensure an effective and collaborative approach to project and resource planning.
- Oversee the timely processing of schedule updates, ensuring accuracy and version control.
- Overlay the 6 and 12-month plan with a consolidated budget view and projection, milestones and deadlines for in flight projects and new demand, as well as resource profiles. Engaging with cost centre owners and functional management to predict and smooth out expenditure plans to ensure optimal resource utilisation and project efficiency.
- Preparation of dashboards, tracking and analysis of performance information across the full portfolio.
- Contribute to the development of project related processes, methods, tools, templates, and systems to support efficient project delivery.

Who you’ll be
This role is for you if you have experience of working with large, changing Portfolios or have relevant transferable skills and are keen to make a difference to society. We are looking for:
- a self-starter who is proactive and self-motivated, someone who takes responsibility and pride in their work.
- you are proactive and good at structuring your own and others' work.
- you must be able to communicate at all levels in simplistic non-technical terms,
- you must be comfortable to challenge and validate plans at all times to achieve accuracy.
Experience required
- Excellent project planning skills and experience of using project management and planning tools such as MS-Project.
- A background in Portfolio Management, PMO, and Project Management
- Demonstrable experience of project governance, methodology and project controls
- High proficiency in the full MS Office suite, particularly Excel and Power Point.
