Up to £24,000
Mersham, Ashford, Kent
Imago
Children and young people need help now!
This is an exciting opportunity to join our new service supporting the emotional wellbeing of children and young people at risk of mental health problems (including young carers).
The work will mainly take place through schools, offering one-to-one and group-based support. You will work with children and families in a supportive, holistic way to develop coping strategies for daily living and address low confidence and social isolation, with a focus on emotional regulation, resilience and helping them through life transitions.
You will carry out home visits to meet with parents and guardians, providing a whole family approach, and signpost and connect young people and families to local and online resources.
There will be opportunities to promote the service and key messages through the delivery of assemblies, workshops and presentations. You will also be involved in delivering activity days for young people across our services.
Applicants should be organised, proactive and solution-focused, and able to effectively engage with children and young people. You must have experience of working with children in social care, health, education or voluntary and community sector, and be able to demonstrate that they have delivered mental health support to individuals or groups.
This is a full-time role, based at our office in Mersham (near Ashford), and covering wider the Kent area, so your own car is needed.
You can make a difference.

• Inclusive values-based environment
• Competitive remuneration package
• Workplace pension scheme
• Generous 31 days annual leave entitlement plus bank holidays
• Opportunities for hybrid working
• Benenden Health Care
• Death in Service Benefit
