Our client, a Lloyd's Broker specialising in Marine Insurance, is looking for a Senior Account Handler/ Broker Back Up to join their expanding Marine department in their London office. The purpose of the role is to manage a portfolio of marine accounts and support the Hull & War team.



Main Duties:
· Manage a portfolio of accounts within a sub-team of 5, including Brokers and Account Handlers
· Prepare open market MRC slips, facility declarations, and endorsements
· Submit MRC slips to the Whitespace platform or via email to Underwriters
· Handle renewals, adjustments, and risk processing in the broking system
· Submit A&S premium LPANs to DXC Technologies
· Provide technical support to Placing Brokers in the Hull & War team
· Collaborate with the Accounts/Finance team for payments and reconciliations
· Attend team meetings and assist with ad-hoc projects



Essential Skills Required:
· 5+ years of experience in the London Insurance Market
· Marine Hull & War experience, with multinational exposure
· Strong knowledge of MRC slip preparation and premium processing
· Ability to use placing platforms (Whitespace preferred)
· Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage time effectively



Desirable:
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
· CII qualifications (or equivalent)
· Knowledge of Italian is a plus
· Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment



What you need to know:
· Based in London (Hybrid working, 3 days in-office minimum)
· Salary is around £55,000, dependent on experience
