Rap Interiors Bookkeeper Position:

Rap Interiors is Seeking a Part-Time Bookkeeper (2 days/week, flexible schedule)

About Us:

Rap Interiors is a growing refurbishment and interior design company based in Maidstone, Kent. We deliver high-quality construction and furniture projects for a variety of sectors, including office, education, healthcare, and industrial. We're looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team!

The Role:

Are you a meticulous and organized individual with experience in bookkeeping? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working with numbers? If so, this part-time role (2 days/week, flexible schedule) could be perfect for you!
In this position, you'll be responsible for a variety of bookkeeping tasks, including:

• Processing invoices and payments using Sage Line 50 accounts
• Handling supplier and subcontractor invoices
• Managing VAT and running VAT returns
• Monitoring bank accounts and processing online payments
• Ensuring accurate posting of invoices and payments to project numbers
• Maintaining monthly CIS returns and subcontractor statements
• Managing aged debtors and creditors, generating reports, and chasing payments
• Creating monthly WIP and weekly cash flow reports (templates provided)
• Processing and reconciling monthly credit card entries in Sage
• Assisting the Accountant with data preparation for quarterly and annual reports

Who We're Looking For:

• Experience in bookkeeping with previous use of Sage Line 50
• Knowledge of the construction industry a plus
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong time-management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Sage software
• Strong mathematical and English skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
