The Lift Interior Company is based in Paddock Wood and looking for a new Site Labourer to expand the team.
The Lift Interior Company was formed in 2006 to offer a dedicated, bespoke and reliable service to the lift industry. We offer an extensive service covering all aspects of lift finishes from customer concept, design, material procurement, fabrication, installation and final handover.
We have been lucky enough to complete some wonderful finishes in numerous locations. Some well-known sites we have worked on are; The Olympic Village, Westfield Shopping Centre, Sony Offices, Tottenham Hotspurs Training Grounds and The Old War Offices.
The Site Labourer role is Monday to Friday with early starts required when working on site. Typically meeting at the workshop for 5:30am (dependent on site location) to arrive on site between 7-8am, finishing on site between 2:30-3pm. There is a daily early start bonus for each day that you attend site.
If successful your daily role would be to assist the Lift Interior Installation Technician to fit and finishes lift interiors to a high standard.
Responsibilities:
• To work alongside the installation technician
• Be fully involved in the preparation of the project whilst in the workshop.
• Ensure the correct materials and tools are collected for each job.
• Ensure materials are stored safely and correctly on site.
• Be able to read installation drawings and pre-empt install sequence and tools that will be needed for the installation technician.
• Develop communications skills with builders and clients onsite.
• Remove waste and maintain a safe and tidy work area at all times.
• Be able to adapt to your working environment as this constantly changes.
• Be aware of Health & Safety Policies and follow at all times on site and in workshop.
Requirements:
• 1-2 years previous working experience in site work and use of power tools and hand tools.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (preferable)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to maintain good time keeping.
• Required to meet at the workshop daily to coordinate with one of the Installation Technicians prior to travelling with them to site in company vehicle.
• Reference from current or most recent employer is compulsory.

Note: This position requires travel to sites in London or surrounding areas, as well as some days in the workshop in Paddock Wood. Initial week of employment for the successful applicant will be based in our workshop to learn the company procedures, complete training and gain understanding of the works we complete prior to attending sites.
