Overview
An established and growing business is seeking a meticulous and detail‑oriented Estimator to join their team. This is a full‑time, permanent position working Monday to Friday (40 hours per week, 8am‑5pm).
You will work closely with a wider team, supporting in the preparation of accurate measures, schedules and quotations, whilst ensuring that all client requirements are clearly interpreted and translated into precise estimating outputs.
Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications. Higher salaries can be discussed.

Duties
Working jointly with the Estimating Team in the measuring and collating of information.
Interpretation of the client's technical and contractual requirements.
Input measures and production of a schedule of rates.
Take offs.
Identification and quotation requests for specialist equipment.
Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.
Reviewing drawings, specifications and related documents to assess project requirements.
Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate quotations.
Analysing supplier prices, terms and lead times to support cost‑effective decision making.
Producing clear cost breakdowns for internal review and client presentation.
Assessing project risks, constraints and potential cost variances.
Maintaining accurate records of estimates, revisions and supporting documentation.
Working collaboratively with operations, design, and commercial teams to ensure alignment on project scope and cost assumptions.
Attending internal meetings to support bid strategy and project planning.
Supporting the continuous improvement of estimating processes and systems.

What we're looking for
Proven experience as an Estimator or in a similar role within the construction or manufacturing industry is preferred. Be comfortable in commuting to London for various projects. Live within a 1hr commute of the Eastbourne office.
