725 Ltd are currently recruiting for experienced Quality Controllers for our well established client based in Headcorn.
JOB SUMMARY
• Reporting to the Shift Manager, you'll be responsible for the issuing and reconciliation of labels to production line, carrying out label inspection in line with CCP, setting up and carrying out tests of the metal, ensuring all specifications are met and exceptions are reported and acted upon in a timely manner.
• Record and report results of all testing and inspections.
• Issue required quantity of labels to line and perform reconciliation when returned
• Set up and carry out tests for each sku on metal detector
• Escalation of out of specification product.
• Identifying and helping resolve non-conforming product issues.
• Monitoring and recording of various process controls, reporting any out of parameter results.
• Carry out ATP swabbing of all food contact equipment prior to usage.
• Monitor GMP throughout factory and report any issues to management.
• Carry out full traceability and mass balance exercises as required by internal and external auditors
• Assist with carrying out routine start up checks
• Provide training, coaching and guidance to new production QC staff.
• Carry out project work including assignments to make site improvements and new product development initiatives.
General
• Adhere to the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and ethics, which includes the Dignity at Work and Equal Opportunities procedures.
• Ensure all contact with customers internal or external are conducted in a professional manner
• Manage continuous improvement initiatives in all aspects of the role through teams and projects.
• Deputise for others as required.
• Carry out any ad0hoc duties given by the shift manager
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Knowledge
• Knowledge of working within a technical department role in a factory would be desirable.
•Good knowledge of food/drinks manufacturing processes is desirable.
• Proven track record within food manufacturing environment is desirable.
Skills
•Able to sustain and develop team working and team based problem solving.
• Good level of numerical and analytical ability.
• Good planning and coordinating skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong Word and Excel skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent internal and external customer service skills
• Ability to build effective relationships with work colleagues.
• Able to achieve results by setting high standards and committing to clear objectives.
Experience
Other
•Full understanding of customer expectations and deliverables with an awareness of the impact of failure/cost of poor quality.
• Good communication skills with the authority to stop production and place materials on hold if they fail to meet the Company’s quality standards.
Hours are 06:00 - 15:00 / 15:00 - 0:00 / 07:45 - 16:45, you must be flexible to work all shifts
