Our client, based on the Medway City Estate in Rochester, Kent is an award winning fin-tech start-up and is now in an exciting and rapid paced stage of growth. They are a world leader in the design and manufacture of automated foreign exchange kiosks. Their kiosks can accept a vast amount of different currencies including currencies which are now out of circulation and turn these into pounds, euros or US dollars.


A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced, proficient, Senior Software Engineer to join their company on a Permanent basis starting ASAP. This position will be subject to a 3 months’ probation period.


Senior Software Engineer


As a senior software engineer you will integrate with the development team and the business to provide the software required to drive the company forward. You will support and refactor existing product code to ensure the continuous improvement to our products. You will actively drive the design development and delivery of new products.  You will lead in the capture requirements, analysis, design and the solutions of new products. You will mentor the junior members of the team and assist in their training.


Duties and Responsibilities

Communicate with the Development team and the Business

Build on technical skills

Assist trouble shooting issues

Provide support for all delivered software

Follow all and support all processes in the development cycle

Mentor the junior members of the team



Knowledge and Experience

Degree in relevant field

OO concepts

TDD and SOLID principles

Good knowledge of software testing principles

Strong C#

SQL

Agile, Scrum

Visual Studio

Excellent communication skills

Salary £50k - £55k P/A

Hours 7am – 4pm Monday to Friday or as the business requires
