Fabulous new instruction for a Demand Planning Manager within a global manufacturing client within the area. This role oversees the Demand Planning function that covers the UK, plus some Export markets and intercompany functions.
The role:
The Demand Planning Manager will manage a team of 2 direct reports plus 1 agency Demand Planner.
Manage the UK, Export and Interco forecasts for all their products
Work with the Sales teams based in UK and abroad plus global distributor based in EMEA, Latin America and Asia Pacific Regions.
Maintain the Manugistics forecasting system with all the data necessary to support the entry and storage of forecasts and to produce accurate KPI’s
Lead improvement on the accuracy of sales forecasts
Work collaboratively to facilitate and strengthen the Sales & Operations Process
In terms of experience, the key elements we are seeking in an individual are:
- Strong Demand Planning experience (ideally gained within an FMCG industry although applications from individuals with
other sector experience, welcome)
- Experience with SAP and Manugistics (both desirable, but not essential as long as you have strong IT skills)
- Line management experience
Softer skills are also essential with this role as it is integral to the business:
- You must enjoy working with and through people and have the ability to influence and motivate direct reports, peers and
project teams
- You must adopt a friendly approach with the drive to achieve results through a logical and systematic approach
- The need to be flexible and able to challenge current processes in the spirit of continuous improvement
- Demonstrate the ability to coach and development a team spirit within the Demand Planning Function
Education & Prior Work Experience Required:
Ideally educated to degree level or a good all round education, excellent computer literacy and good communicate skills
A knowledge of Demand Planning, New Product Introduction and Supply Chain procedures essential
Having worked in a forecasting environment particularly with SAP and Manugistics in the past, would be advantageous
Advanced Excel user
Analytical with excellent attention to detail
Personal Responsibilities:
Management of the Demand Planning team
Close liaison with colleagues in NPI and Supply Chain teams
Support the French & German businesses as needed un the role of European lead in Demand Planning
Work with US counterparts to ensure best practice is shared
