Based at The Fresh Produce Centre at Paddock Wood in Kent, FreshPLUS takes a different approach to service provision. Specialising in fresh produce, our customers have the freedom to choose from a flexible menu of direct or indirect services; from full receipt, storage, ripening, packing and distribution of products to indirect options such as grower audits at source, customs clearance services or marketing insight reports.

As one of a team of Multi-Skilled Engineers working in a fast-paced environment, this role is key in assisting the Operations teams to achieve maximum productivity by minimising downtime through plant maintenance, repairs and improvement. In addition, there is a wider scope for ongoing building maintenance to keep everyone in a safe operating environment, whilst meeting the needs of our colleagues, tenants and visitors.
Key areas of responsibility:
Completing fault finding, planned and preventative maintenance on plant and equipment to the highest standards, maximising equipment reliability and performance.
Participating in the installation of new equipment or movement of existing equipment working to timescales.
Responding to requests for assistance from the Operations team and around the business, fault finding, problem-solving, establishing route cause fixes and addressing equipment and building issues.
Helping to continuously improve our processes; Identifying, recommending and implementing improvements, including the design and fabrication of equipment.
Working as part of the wider Operations team to share knowledge - making sure machinery is used safely and effectively.
What you’ll need:
• Electrical Engineering (HNC) or Full Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship
• Trained in current electrical wiring standards (18th edition) and industrial machine control along with safety circuit knowledge
• An uncompromising approach to working safely
• Great communication skills to deal with internal customers and build
