A Planning Manager is required to join a global manufacturing firm in Kent; a business that is currently enjoying unprecedented demand for their products.
Joining the business at a crucial juncture, the Planning Manager will be accountable for the every element of operational supply chain management in it's entirety - from purchasing, through to materials and stock management, and daily production planning and control.
Through the development of solid communication channels with other key stakeholders (Production, Supply Chain), you'll be able to develop a robust S&OP process to ensure all supply chain and operations run to an optimum. You will quickly be able to build relationship with key suppliers and other external stakeholders in order to achieve cost reduction initiatives.
The post holder will provide leadership, guidance and coaching to a team of dedicated supply chain and planning professionals across the site.
The successful candidate will be an experienced 360 degree Supply Chain, Planning, and Purchasing Manager or Head Of within a manufacturing, production, or engineering discipline in order to be considered.
Candidates with a passion for on-going professional development would hold a distinct advantage; you will more than likely already possess a Degree within an industrial discipline, and ideally hold a CIPS qualification.
A broad working knowledge of lean and continuous improvement methodologies is a requirement in order to drive process improvements across the site.
