Fast paced, niche manufacturing business in Rochester are currently looking for a Management Accountant to support the Finance Manager in the preparation of monthly management accounts, as well as support the year end/statutory obligations.
Excellent opportunity for business partnering, as there is a strong emphasis on working with the budget holders to ensure variances are met with recommended remedial actions. As this is a new role, there is lots of opportunity to add value from day one.
Detailed duties;
• Production of month end packs to tight deadlines (working day 5)
• Ownership of Balance sheet reconciliations
• Inter-company reporting
• Assisting with the consolidation of management accounts
• Identify remedial action for variances between actual and budgeted expenditure
• Assisting with Corporation Tax and VAT returns
• Annual budget and forecasts
• Assist with Year End
• Adhoc project work including costing
The successful candidate will ideally be formally qualified or at the least, working towards formal qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
• Be able to produce management accounts with minimal supervision
• Possess strong technical acumen, ideally experience of both UK GAAP and IFRS
• Advanced users of Excel
