The Hythe Imperial has hosted families, couples, business visitors and locals and each guest has got something unique out of their stay.

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to join our team. The expectation of the Marketing Manager is to plan and execute our local marketing and PR strategy. A confident and highly sociable networker, you will be the face of the business and attend meetings and events, helping to drive local partnerships and marketing opportunities where possible. A challenging position for someone looking to take the next step in their career where they will be working in a collaborative team environment with a strong emphasis on delivery and achieving results.

The Role:

• Manage marketing calendar, work 3 months ahead with the Executive Director and support all promotions to be advertised, artwork printed according to deadlines
• To ensure Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Ad words to be relevant to hotel and current campaigns
• Ensure that all activities are advertised on social media according to deadline
• Lead the marketing meetings to discuss marketing related events, promotions, initiatives and generally share the marketing calendar content with everyone
• Ensure that personal KPI’s are achieved.
• Review and reply to positive reviews on Google, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and all other social media platforms.
• Implement new marketing campaigns
• Create attractive in house marketing material and ensure updated throughout hotel.
• Drive online marketing initiatives including e-marketing, social media e.g. twitter and Facebook, blogs and online advertising
• Monitor competitor activity and manage tactical campaigns
• Increase website traffic
• Introduce creative and innovative techniques, which are led by careful strategic planning
• Provide articles, newsletters, website content for the hotel website and text for all third party websites
• Sourcing advertising opportunities and placing adverts in the press - local, regional, national and specialist publications - or on the radio, depending on the organisation and the campaign;
• Writing and proofreading copy
• Liaising with designers and printers and organising photo shoots
• Arranging for the effective distribution of marketing materials

To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
• Highly confident and sociable with excellent communication skills
• A real team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude
• Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated and able to work off own initiative
• Ability to develop professional relationships in all aspects of the position that result in stable, consistent, reliable and courteous communication when dealing with clients
• Ability to problem solve and work independently and as part of a group in a changing and multi-tasking environment with numerous deadlines
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability for accuracy and thoroughness
• Strong computer skills especially Microsoft Office, (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• To ensure maximum security of all areas under your control
• To carry out any other reasonable duties as directed by management
