ASSISTANT CARE MANAGER

EAST KENT

£17,000 - £19,000 pa - Full Time 37 hrs pw

Crossroads Care Kent is a Charity offering a range of supportive, practical services to Carers and the people they care for.

We now have a rare and rewarding opportunity for an Assistant Care Manager to work with our busy office team at Beltinge in Herne Bay, Monday to Friday 9 am – 5 pm.

The Assistant role supports locality Care Managers with the day to day operational delivery of care services. Duties include liaising with families and other agencies and organisations, undertaking assessments and writing care plans, general administration duties, dealing with telephone calls and enquiries, staff rostering and allocation of work, spot checks and monitoring to ensure a compliant and quality service delivery.

This role would suit a well organised, caring person with good people skills and experience of working in a social care environment. Important to the role is a sympathetic approach, with great listening skills, an understanding of the role of unpaid carers, and the ability to use initiative in dealing sensitively with a variety of situations and challenges. Knowledge of the Care Act and care practice, health and social care training, good computer skills and GCSE Maths and English are essential, along with a full driving licence and use of own car - as travel in the East Kent area will be required.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop in a supportive care management environment and while staff management experience and an NVQ3 in Health & Social Care are desirable they are not essential as training will be provided.

Along with this rewarding role we offer:

• COMPETITIVE SALARY

• FULL TIME position

• Contributory PENSION scheme

• JOB SATISFACTION

• Fantastic TEAM SUPPORT

• Excellent TRAINING and DEVELOPMENT opportunities

• Access to HEALTHCARE
