SEN Teaching Assistant Roles -Sittingbourne and Surrounding Areas
Support Staff is currently one of the fastest growing sectors in Education, so if you are passionate about education and looking to make a real difference to children’s learning, Supply Desk may have an opportunity for you. Supply Desk is working with a range of Independent, Mainstream and Specialist Education settings in Sittingbourne and surrounding areas. Roles can range from daily, short and long term for the right candidates. This is a good opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience if you are thinking of a career in teaching.
Requirements
Experience in supporting a classroom teacher in a UK education environment
Experience of working in small groups or on a 1-1 basis with children with Additional Needs under the instruction of the classroom teacher
Empathy, patience and motivation to encourage and support children to reach their full potential and to become independent learners
An excellent knowledge of different learning styles and how to utilise and engage children across a range of abilities
Good behaviour management skills
Opportunities for short and long term placements are available for the right candidates
Experience of working within an SEN setting is desirable but not essential
